Preparing an environmental monitoring report, also known as an environmental protection report, is the responsibility of every individual, organization and business, as it builds a database on project activities that affect the environment. It is an important and indispensable environmental compliance document; businesses need to prepare and complete it promptly in accordance with the law so that the current environmental status is reported to environmental authorities on time.

1. What is environmental monitoring?
Under Circular 02, the periodic environmental monitoring report is the new name replacing the former periodic environmental supervision report. It is a short-term assessment of the environmental quality at a facility, reported periodically to the competent authorities such as the Sub-Department of Environmental Protection and the district Division or provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment. It is also a legal document that businesses must prepare every year to track and regularly update environmental quality.
A periodic environmental monitoring report provides information that assesses the current status and quality trends of the environment and forecasts adverse impacts on soil, water, air, noise and more.
